For pupils from the poorest families, especially those on Free School Meals, this led to delays, extra admin, and time without a working device. The school wanted a way to ensure that repairs were carried out without delay, and without causing undue hardship on those familes who were on Free School Meals.

The School purchased SmartFix for all FSM pupils’ iPads. The low cost of £2 per month covers unlimited screen repairs with courier charges taken care of, in each direction. They were able to fund it from the Pupil Premium, so that it didn't involve any contributions from the parents. Repairs could be booked as soon as the damage occurred. SimplyFixIt took care of the courier collection & return, and returned the iPads within a week of any repairs being booked.
