More about this repair service

Most standard iPad hardware repairs do not require us to access your personal data. We test touch, display, charging, cameras and buttons where practical before collection or return.

If the frame is bent or impact damage has affected more than one part, we will explain the options before doing extra paid work.

Common iPad Pro (11-inch) (1st Generation) problems we repair

Available repair options for the iPad Pro (11-inch) (1st Generation) can help with the following symptoms. We confirm the cause before repair.

iPad Pro (11-inch) (1st Generation) repair questions

Why is glass repair not available for iPad Pro (11-inch) (1st Generation)?

For this model, our current online screen option is a complete assembly. A separate glass-only repair is not offered on this page. If you are unsure which part is damaged, contact us before booking.

Will biometric unlocking still work after repair?

Tell us before booking if Touch ID or Face ID is already faulty. Screen replacement does not necessarily resolve a separate biometric fault. We will explain what can be tested and retained for your model.

Do I need to erase my iPad before repair?

No. Standard hardware repairs do not normally require your data to be erased, though we always recommend keeping a backup before any repair.

Can I post my iPad from anywhere in the UK?

Yes. Book online, pack the iPad securely and send it to SimplyFixIt. We repair and test it, then return it using insured delivery.

What happens if the frame is bent?

A bent frame can stop a new screen or digitiser sitting correctly. We will assess this before repair and contact you if it changes the repair route.

Planning your repair

In-store repairs and postal turnaround

Visit our Bruntsfield Place repair centre in Edinburgh or book a UK mail-in repair. iPhone and iPad in-store repairs are normally completed the same day, subject to the fault and parts availability. Delivery usually takes 1–2 days; this is delivery time, not the in-store repair time. Mac repair estimates are shown separately on the model and repair pages. Contact us before booking if you need a particular collection date; timing depends on the fault and parts availability.

Warranty and testing

iPhone and iPad repairs include a 12-month warranty on fitted parts; other devices include 3 months. Accidental and liquid damage are excluded. We test the repaired function and related features where practical before handover. See our repair policies for the terms.

Preparing your device and protecting your data

Back up your device where possible. Hardware repairs do not normally require access to your personal data. If access is needed to test a repaired function, we explain why. Tell us about existing faults and previous repairs so we can assess the device properly.
