MacBook Air with M1 (2020) Screen Repairs
The Retina screen on a MacBook Air with M1 (2020) is incredibly thin, which is great. But if it breaks, there's no way to just change the LCD part or the glass cover. It is necessary to replace the entire aluminium top lid of the laptop. This can make the repair more expensive than a basic Windows laptop screen repair, but a) the screen on a MacBook Air with M1 (2020) is so much better than your average Dell laptop and b) SimplyFixIt is consistently cheaper than Apple for screen repairs. The current cost of a MacBook Air with M1 (2020) screen repair is £329, but you can split that price into 3 interest-free payments, using Klarna, if that helps.

Description
The MacBook Air with M1, introduced in 2020, is a highly portable and swift laptop with a fan-less and quiet design. It boasts a vivid Retina display, battery life that lasts the entire day, and an impressively speedy 8-Core CPU. The M1 chip, the inaugural chip that Apple crafted specifically for the Mac, merges the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and other elements into a single compact chip, providing notable performance and superb power efficiency. This processing prowess equips the MacBook Air to cope with demanding tasks such as professional-grade video editing and fast-paced gaming.
The GPU present in the M1 chip offers rapid integrated graphics, affording users the ability to create, edit, and play multiple streams of 4K video without interruption. Furthermore, the M1 chip includes a 16-core Neural Engine, capable of executing 11 trillion operations per second, which permits applications to utilise machine learning for functions like automatic photo enhancement and smart tool auto-detection.
Offering up to 18 hours of battery life, the MacBook Air operates in total silence, a feat made possible by the M1 chip's remarkable efficiency. Coupled with macOS, the M1 chip optimises the entire system's responsiveness, accelerates day-to-day tasks, and ensures power is available for the most demanding applications.
The 2020 MacBook Air is equipped with up to 16GB of ultra-fast unified memory and up to 2 TB of SSD storage. All your frequently used applications run rapidly in macOS, with over 15,000 applications and plugins optimised for Apple silicon. The 13.3-inch Retina display, with a resolution of 2560x1600, delivers sharp text and vibrant colours. Additionally, the M1 chip's image signal processor, along with three inbuilt microphones, provides an optimal experience for FaceTime calls and video conferences.
In terms of security and privacy, the MacBook Air is robust, including features such as a Secure Enclave coprocessor, a dedicated AES storage encryption engine, secure boot and runtime security features, and an Activation Lock. Its Magic Keyboard comes with preprogrammed shortcuts and keys that are backlit, equipped with an ambient light sensor for low light conditions. Touch ID is included for secure, one-touch unlocking of the MacBook Air and safe execution of online transactions via Apple Pay.

Quality of our Components.
Not all MacBook components are created equally. When we first started MacBook repairs, Apple would make genuine parts available for companies like ours to carry out repairs. But as they have moved more towards pushing people towards replacing damaged devices, rather than repairing them, they have restricted the availability of some genuine Apple parts. Due to the history of our MacBook repair service we have been able to build relationships with the people who make the screens and we are able to fit high quality components in all of our repairs. Put simply, we only use high-quality screens sourced from reliable manufacturers and our technicians are fully trained and certified.
Our Warranty
SimplyFixIt uses Apple Certified Mac Technicians to carry out repairs on Apple devices, including the MacBook Air with M1 (2020). We back that up with a 3-month warranty on parts & labour.

Please note:
[1]True Tone after a screen repair
True Tone, a feature present in MacBooks, adjusts your screen's colour temperature based on the ambient light in your environment. While it's intended to reduce eye strain, it can result in inconsistent colours, which might hinder tasks that require colour accuracy. Furthermore, some users find the continual adjustments distracting, potentially causing more discomfort than the feature aims to alleviate. People who work with colout, e.g. designers, should disable True Tone on their MacBooks.
True Tone is permanently disabled on 3rd-party MacBook Air with M1 (2020) screens after a repair.
Liquid Damage:
Liquids and MacBooks don't mix well. I know that there's lots of stories about rice working, but we want to be honest with you up front. Nobody can guarantee that an electronic device, which has been wet, will work perfectly again. It can be fine for weeks and then fail out of the blue. The best advice we can give is to get any important data off the device — things like photos — and then replace the components that had contact with the liquid.
If your Mac has had contact with liquid, then SimplyFixIt reserves the right to cancel the repair and issue a refund. It's not that we don't like you, but we want to stand by our warranty. If it is possible to get your data off the device, we will notify you so that you can decide how to proceed.
