Adding RAM to your Mac is the cheapest way to upgrade the speed of your Mac. Even with the advanced features of macOS Sierra, you can't really have too much RAM. If you would like to know more about monitoring how much memory your Mac is currently using (and how much memory is installed), have a quick look at our helpful guide here
Unfortunately Apple doesn't make it possible easy to upgrade the RAM in a lot of their devices, including the MacBook Air, Retina MacBook Pro and some 21.5" iMacs. We have a bit more information on which Macs we can upgrade on this page here
For the MacBook Air and Retina MacBook Pro, the RAM is soldered to the Main Logic Board inside, which also holds your processor. To upgrade these devices, we need to replace all three parts together. That makes it more expensive than the equivalent upgrade for any other Mac computer, but at SimplyFixIt we do offer these upgrades - whereas the Apple store do not.
But, for most Apple Macs, RAM is readily available. Apple even sell it directly to you from their web store. Of course, when they sell it to you, not only is it more expensive than SimplyFixIt, but they also expect you to open your Mac up and fit it yourself. All the prices below for SimplyFixIt Mac RAM include fitting
All RAM Memory fitted by SimplyFixIt is guaranteed to be compatible with your Mac.
