The great thing about Apple Macs is that they last for a really long time, and are generally supported for years. The latest version of the Mac Operating System, macOS 13 (Ventura), runs on pretty much every iMac, MacBook, and MacBook Pro that has been released since 2017, though macOS 12 (Monterey) will run on Macs as early as 2015.
