Mobile Shield™ Warranty Subscription Plan

What is covered

The Mobile Shield™ Warranty plan protects you against the cost of front screen repairs for a specific iPhone. The iPhone screen must have been repaired or replaced by SimplyFixIt in the first instance.

Any damage to the front screen of the iPhone, whether it came from normal use, or accidental dropping of the iPhone, will be repaired for free.

Subject to fair usage, there is no limit to the amount of claims that can be made against your Mobile Shield™ Warranty. If your phone screen breaks more than once, it will still be fixed for free each time

What is not covered

  • Repairs to any other part of the iPhone, including, but not limited to, the glass on the back of the devices, or buttons etc are not covered by this warranty.

  • Replacement devices that may have been provided by an insurance company. Only the original iPhone that was repaired by SimplyFixIt can be warrantied. In cases where the iPhone is replaced by a third party, you should cancel your warranty immediately. Refunds of payments made for devices that are no longer available, cannot be made.

  • Cases where the iPhone is not fully repaired by replacing the screen will not be repaired for free. If there are other faults or damage, then these repairs will encur a fee. The front screen part of the repair will still be free.

  • Cases where the iPhone has suffered liquid ingress.

  • In cases where we have cancelled your Warranty (as detailed below) then we will not carry out a repair.

Cancellation of your Warranty by you

  • You can cancel your Mobile Shield warranty plan in the first 14 days, and providing you have not made a claim, you will be entitled to a full refund of the subscription payments made.

  • If you wish to cancel after the first 14 days, or if you have made a claim for a free screen repair, you can do so at the end of any warranty month, by giving notice that you wish to cancel. You should do that by using the Contact Form on our website, or by emailing hello@simplyfixit.co.uk

  • A warranty month is the month beginning on the date your subscription starting and ending on the same date of the following month, and each subsequent month after that.

  • Any payments that are made after you inform us of your wish to cancel will be refunded, unless a warranty claim is made in that period.

Cancellation of your Warranty by us

We (or any agent we appoint and who acts with our specific authority) may also cancel this warranty for any valid reason. Valid reasons include, but are not limited to:

  • Where a payment is not paid on time. If this happens we will contact you by SMS or email to notify you of this. If the payment is not received within 7 days, from the sending of this email, we will cancel your Mobile Shield warranty. It will be cancelled from the date the payment was due, without the need for us to give any further notice to you. We may, at our discretion, allow this warranty to resume where a payment is made after this 7 day period, but we are under no obligation to do so.

  • If you use your phone to commit a crime or to allow any crime to take place we will cancel your policy immediately and notify you of this in writing.

  • Where we reasonably suspect that the iPhone has been tampered with or repaired by someone other than Apple, including any authorised repairers, or SimplyFixIt.

  • Where we reasonably suspect fraud or where you have failed to provide us with complete and accurate information we may refuse any warranty claim and cancel your warrranty immediately. Where your actions are deliberate or reckless you will not be entitled to a refund. We may also take legal action against you.

  • Where we consider that the number of warranty claims exceed what we would reasonably call fair use. We will take a number of things into consideration with regards to your previous claims history, including:

    • Number of claims
    • Frequency of claims occurrence
    • Circumstances of the claims, including taking reasonable care to protect your phone from damage.

Unless otherwise stated above, if we cancel your policy we will notify you in writing to the last known home or email address you have provided to us.

Unless otherwise stated above, if we cancel your policy you will be entitled to a proportionate refund of the payments that you have made since the last warranty claim.
